iChat and Facebook chat
I just discovered you can use iChat to Facebook chat.
Here’s how you set it up:
Add a new Jabber account.
The Account Name should be your Facebook username followed by @chat.facebook.com
Enter your Facebook password.
Under Server Options, enter chat.facebook.com for the Server and 5222 for the Port.
That’s it. This is by far the best way I’ve used Facebook chat.
I went camping over the weekend at Rathtrevor. Here’s a quick video of some deer we saw on the first night.

I like to install the least amount of apps as possible on my mac. So instead of installing an application just to unrar files like The Unarchiver, why not just use Terminal.app.
Download the latest rar package from rarlab.
Install those files with the following command: $ sudo install -c -o $USER unrar /bin ($USER is your username).
Check the installation: $ unrar
Unrar files: $ unrar x...

The Magic Mouse
I use my Wacom Tablet (Intuos3) pretty much all the time, it’s getting old. I feel retarded using a mouse. But sometimes when I’ve got nothing better to do, Ill use one.
I’ve gotten used to Apple’s Mighty Mouse, I mean the Apple Mouse, it’s a good wired mouse, except for that dumb nipple. People who don’t like the feel of Apple’s mouses are holding them...

Searching faster with Safari
More people should be using Safari. It’s the best browser out there. There’s a nice plugin I use for search called SafariStand. There’s lots of others out there like Inquisitor or Glims, but this is what I use.
Stand lets you do a bunch of cool things, what I like most is ‘Quick Search’. This lets you use custom shortcuts in the address bar to perform a search. So...

Making that ugly green duck not so ugly
I really don’t like Adium. But since people (and I don’t know why) still use other IM services like Windows Live, I occasionally use it. I’ll also login to Facebook chat so it’s not a total waste of time. Anyway, Adium looks ugly. iChat doesn’t. So I put together a list of Adium Xtras and enhancements I’ve found. This list kind of makes Adium look like another...
Autodesk SketchBook Mobile →
I just discovered Autodesk released a version of SketchBook for iPhone OS. You can get it from the App Store now. It’s got a few features that Brushes doesn’t, so it’s worth checking out if you sketch on your phone!

Acorn 2 →
The latest release of Acorn is 64-bit. If your looking for a $50 (US) Photoshop this does a pretty good job. You can draw and paint in Acorn and it has some decent default brushes which can be customised. (via John Gruber)
The Princess and the Frog Theatrical Trailer →
Check out the theatrical trailer for The Princess and the Frog. Andreas Deja, Eric Goldberg, Ron Clements, John Musker! More people should be excited about Disney’s return to hand drawn animation.
